Donald Trump – The Millionaire Inside

December 21st, 2009 No comments

donald-trumpWe are rapidly approaching a new year.  Most of us look at January 1st as a clean slate to fill in what we are wanting to accomplish in the coming year.  That is a healthy way to look at it, goals are the stepping stones to success.  But, how many of us are hauling around our old baggage from last year?  How would our lives be different if we could dump that old baggage of things that didn’t work, thoughts that don’t serve us, and the attitudes that don’t work?  What if we could use that knowledge of what doesn’t work and build on it to become the person we wish to be?  Could we find the millionaire inside us?

I admire Donald Trump.  I know some people would scoff at that for what ever reasons they have.  I admire him for many reasons, but one of the main reasons is he can rise above defeat and failure to be bigger and better than he was before.  He is a rags to riches, to rags to billions of dollars in riches, story.  It is not easy after a failure to get back up again and wade into the fight.  What is it about “the Donald” that gives him the tenacity to go from broke to billionaire in just a few short years?

Another reason that I like Donald Trump is that he tells it like it is.  I love that!  I am a “what you see is what you get” kind of person.  He doesn’t sugar coat what he believes.  Accept it or reject it, he really doesn’t care.

I have a 10 minute video for you, today, that will give you a “bird’s eye view” of how “the Donald” thinks.  He makes some very important points.  Feel free to leave me a comment and to pass the blog around!

Zig Ziglar – Attitude Makes the Difference

December 15th, 2009 No comments

Zig ZiglarPeople are the funniest beings.  They get attached to the strangest things.  One of the oddest things I have seen people get attached to is “drama”.  Not the kind of drama performers use to play a part  in a dramatic roles, or people who enjoy watching drama on TV.  I mean the people that have the attitude of drama.  There is always drama in their life.  It doesn’t matter what day you see them, they have new tales of woe to dump on you.

If you know people like that, you will probably agree, they drain your positive energy.  I have acquaintances that I thank God I have caller ID.  That sounds harsh, doesn’t it?  But, if you want to be truthful, you have some of those same acquaintances.  They are the people that once they have you in their sights, you are going to hear all the negative, pessimistic things that are presently going on.  Believe me, we all have things that we might not find uplifting happening in our own lives.  Why do these people only focus on the negatives?

They enjoy the attention.  That’s it.  They believe they will get your undivided attention if they can rattle off all their bad stuff.  Some people don’t realize they are doing it.  They can be second or third generation complainers.  They are products of negative environments.  They really don’t want to be released from it either, because they are comfortable with it.  Every time we listen to them talk about their drama we are fueling their obsession.

There are two ways to handle this situation.  You can work on helping them see their drama for what it is, negative energy and lack of gratitude.  You can handle them the same way Zig Ziglar does in this video.  Or, if you can’t change the people around you, you can change the people around you and keep an eye on that caller ID.

This is a great 9 minute video about how attitude makes the difference.  Feel free to pass it on.  Here’s the link to some of his material that you can use to start your own “Automobile University“.  Nightingale Conant is having a 25% off Christmas Sale!

Tony Robbin – How to Develop Your Goals and Action Plan for 2010 – Part 2

December 14th, 2009 No comments

tony-robbins2The year 2010 is rapidly approaching.  As 2009 wanes, it is natural to become more reflective about what we did or didn’t accomplish.  It is a time to review and revise our goals for that jump start into 2010.  It is a time to sit down in front of that blank piece of paper and catalogue our accomplishments and to be honest about those things that could have gone better.  It is not a time to beat up on ourselves for self proclaimed “failures”.  That would be self defeating.  We can use failure as a great way to correct our course of action. A quote from Winston Churchill comes to mind, “success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm.”

As we reflect on our present year and revise our game plan for 2010, it is important to launch our revised plan of action immediately.  We loose momentum by waiting any length of time to start the revised plan.    It is imperative to take the first step of implementation, now.  Why?   Because, the power is in the now.   The first step is the hardest.  It is like trying to push a stalled car.  It takes a tremendous amount of energy to get the 2000 lbs auto to budge. We push and push until we finally start to get some forward movement.  If we keep the energy focused on pushing the car, we will soon find ourselves racing to keep up with the rapidly moving vehicle.  That is the power of momentum!

Today’s video is part 2 of Tony Robbins “The Power of Momentum”.  This 5 minute video will give you some insight on moving forward with strength.  If you like it, pass it on.
