What Successful People Know About Big Mo

August 27th, 2009 No comments

Most people that aren’t successful wonder why.  Successful people, on the other hand, know exactly why they are successful.  Successful people, whether they realize it or not, study success.  All successful people developed a desire for success.  It became a “must” for them.  Quitting is not an option for them.

Yesterdays blog post, “The 3 Things You Must Do to Create a Success Breakthrough”, I wrote about clarity.  To obtain success, you must be clear on what you want and why you desire it.  Once you have become clear on why you want success it is time to develop certainty.  When you know that quitting is not an option, that is certainty.  When success becomes a “must”, that is certainty.  Tony Robbins calls certainty the “holy grail of action”.  When you combine certainty with action you will get results!

How do you develop certainty when the entire world seems to be conspiring against it?  Most people struggle with their level of belief.  They have the potential to accomplish what they want, but their belief level is so low that they struggle.  In my July 30th post, “Finding the Millionaire in You”, I wrote about Roger Bannister.  Before 1954, no one had run a mile in 4 minutes. Roger Bannister, against all odds, was the first person to break that record.  Two years later, 37 people had run a 4 minute mile.  Those other 37 people had the potential to break that 4 minute record, but they didn’t do it.  Until they believed it could be done by seeing Bannister do it.  That is when the shift happened in their minds.

When the shift happens and we believe we have the potential, action must follow.  Once action is in play, results start to happen.  When results happen it reinforces the belief in our potential and the cycle starts all over again on a higher level.  That creates Big Momentum.  When “Big Mo” is on your side, look out!  Amazing things start to happen.  If you don’t have “Big Mo” your progression towards success can be painful slow.

How can we attract Big Mo to come play on our team?  It starts in our mind.  It is time to pump up our belief level by finding those people that have done what we want to do.  Model them.  We could even mentor with them.  Mentoring is effective if it is done correctly.  That will be a blog post for another day.

Another way is to visualize.  It has been proven in the sports world that better performance hinges on visualization.  All of us have beliefs about things that are unconscious.  Even though our subconscious mind is not the thinking part of the brain, it rules the roost on our belief levels.  Visualization, done correctly, produces amazing results.  When visualizing, only picture the end results, with emotion.

Getting results in our head first, conditions us for certainty.  Certainty burns the bridges in our minds.  Perfect practice creates perfect results.  Visualization can create that perfect practice.  Keep in mind that visualization is not an overnight thing.  It takes practice and patience and must be followed up with action.

If you are looking for a visualization tool, I highly recommend Mind Movies.  It is a visualization tool that you create on your computer.  You are able to create your own mind movie that you can watch on your computer or iphone every day.  You personalize it with your goals and dreams.  It can even run in the subliminal mode.  The Mind Movie people have made your movie ultra easy to create.  Their small workbook that you go through to prepare your mind movie is excellent for helping you become clear on what you want.

If you are looking for more of a relaxing while you visualize kind of thing, Bruce Muziak’s Relaxation for Manifestation and Relaxation for Wealth are two Cd’s that you can use while you relax.

Above all, nothing happens until you take action and continue to taking action.  When Big Mo becomes your best friend the world of success opens up for you!

Success – Are You Ready to Rumble?

July 22nd, 2009 No comments

Most of us have dreams and goals.  Unless, of course, you have become a dull, disillusioned, dead butt.  That is a choice.  I personally prefer dreams and goals.

Having said that, there are times in our lives where we might feel like we have become dull and disillusioned.  If you enjoy self improvement and are reading this blog, I would guess that if you ever feel this way, it is only temporary.

How do we achieve our goals and dreams?  First of all you have to be willing to fight every day for them.  I don’t mean grab a gun and go blast people.  I am talking about fighting the robbers of our dreams.  They come in the form of procrastination, frustration, negative people, loosing focus, and lack of self discipline.  Pretty hefty stuff, right?  This is a blog post not an ebook so let’s take little bites of the issue.

Have Goals You Can Measure and Monitor

Most people don’t have a focus.  They know they would like to have something, but it is vague and unfocused.  If you are wanting help from the metaphysical or physical means you must know what you want.  WRITE IT DOWN!  I can not stress that enough.  I was going through the Mind Movie creation booklet yesterday to update my own personal mind movie and I was re-impressed (if that is a word) on how this simple exercise helped me crystalized my goals and dreams.  That feature alone is worth the small amount spent on the program.  I hope you take the time to look at the website and down load the free premade movies.  The premade movies are amazing!

Do Something Every Day to Move Forward Towards Your Goals

Read over your goals every day.  When your goals are written down it is so much easier to look at them in concrete form.  I guarantee, that if you miss the step of written goals your success will be limited.  Do something every day to move towards your goals.  When you do something, even if it is a small movement towards your goals, you  are creating momentum.

Honestly Evaluate Your Actions You Have Taken Towards Your Goals

Get in the habit of sitting down at night to critique your day and prioritize your next day.  This can be done before you leave your work for the night.  This will help you conquer the dreaded disease of procrastination and it keeps you in touch with your progress.  Be a loving but tough critic of your progress.

Play Full Out

What do I mean by that?  Simply, go after your goals with everything you have.  We are only have this one life, right now.  When you are working at your goals give it all you have.  Extraordinary things are created by extraordinary effort.

Put yourself in the position to fall in love with your dreams over and over.  Whether you use Mind Movies, Visualization techniques, Vision Boards, or Dream Shopping.  Whatever it takes to help you remember what juiced you up about your goals in the first place.

Using Affirmations and Visualizations to Get What You Want

July 17th, 2009 No comments

If you have found your way to my blog, you must be “in to” self help, self improvement and personal development.  Or, you are my friends and family checking out what I am up to today.  Either way, I am glad you are here!

If you are a person who enjoys self improvement, you have no doubt heard about affirmations and visualizations.  Our goal with self improvement is to better or “enrich” our lives.  I am sure that you have discovered that you are happier, healthier and are better at manifesting your dreams and goals if you thinking positive thoughts.  It keeps you in a positive vibration.  Since everything is energy and everything vibrates, we will attract positive things if we are vibrating in a positive way.

Some people will tell you that “thinking positive” is a bunch of bunk.  But, have you ever met someone that dwells in the negative all day long?  Are they happy?  Are they prosperous?  Are they manifesting their dreams and goals?  I would say no to all of the that.  So, if we know that thinking better thoughts gets us what we want, how do we go about doing that?  This is a very negative world.  Negativity sells.  Being involved in negativity can be like watching a car wreck on the side of the road.  Some how, our heads keep swiveling in that direction.

One of my favorite quotes from Albert Einstein is “Imagination is more important than knowledge.”  How can we use our imagination to create the world we want?  The best way is through affirmations and visualizations.  Here are a few tips on making powerful affirmations and visualizations.

Your Affirmations and Visualizations Should Be in the Present tense Only

The most powerful aspect of our mind is our subconscious mind.  It runs the show!  That is where our beliefs are stored.  “What we see and believe we will achieve.”  Getting to our subconscious mind can be a bit tricky. It doesn’t think things out, it just runs the programing you have installed in it.

To reach your subconscious mind with affirmations and visualizations you must word it in present tense such as, I am so happy and grateful that money now comes to me in abundance from multiple streams of income evey day.  Notice the present tense of “I am” and “now:.

Use Words Your Subscious Can Relate To

For instance, many people use the word “flow” when they are using an affirmation regarding money.  Your subconscious might not relate to money as flowing.  It relates to rivers and streams flowing, but money?

Another area that affirmations and visualizations can become ineffective is if you are trying to affirm something that is too far outside of your subconscious beliefs.  If you are only making $25,000 a year, it might be very hard for your subconscious to believe when you tell it you are making one million dollars this year.  Your affirmation must be believable to your subconscious or it will throw it out.  It won’t matter how many times you hammer it with your affirmation, if it is too outside the realm of possibilities your subconscious will turn a deaf ear to it.  Instead, you could use a challenge of $50,000 or $75,000 this year.  If a million dollars a year is your goal start out a little smaller and build up to it as you achieve your monetary goals.  You will intuitively know when your are shooting too high because your conscious mind says, “no way, I don’t believe that.”

My husband always tells me that “men think in pictures” which is true for everyone.  If you want to reach your subconscious mind to have it help you get what you want, pictures are an excellent way.  I have always believed in dream boards or vision boards.  They should be where you will see them several times every day and can ponder the images on that board.  This may sound odd, but our dream board is in our bathroom right in front of the toilet.  It is a great way to multitask!

I spend a lot of time on the computer, as you can imagine.  I have stumbled across something that I am excited about.  It is called Mind Movies.  It is a way to design your very own visualization mind movie that you can view as many times a day as you want.  It is filled with your images, your dreams, and your goals.  Wow!  How powerful is that?  They have even invented a way to run it in a subliminal manner so your subconscious can be accessing it even when your conscious mind is working on other projects.  It is amazing.  I know when I look at my mind movie it pumps me up!  They are even giving way free 6 premade mind movies that you can download and try out it out for yourself!  Check it out here!
