laughing smiley faceThe world is moving forward faster and faster.  Technology is growing so fast that it is a full time job keeping up with the changes.  It is very easy in this world of rapid changes to lose the “human touch”.    When calling a company, an automated phone systems that requires you to listen and pick the best option for what you want, is not uncommon.  Many older people find this very confusing and frustrating. When we lose the “human touch” it impacts our ability to live the life we want.  It impacts our  happiness and our sense of fulfillment that is so important to our sense of well being.

People crave the “human touch”.  Technology is now moving in a direction of connecting people to one another with different types of social media.  I know, I love my Facebook.  My family and friends and I have reconnected on Facebook. It is such a fun way to share your life with others.  The business application is, also, huge.  We want to know who we are doing business with!  Which brings me to the first tip.

We are not here to do it all on our own.  We are blessed by our friendships and our relationships to others.  Living is all about our connection with people.  When we do these 3 things we have more feelings of happiness and fulfillment.

1.  Offer to help others.  What value can we add for them?  We can help our neighbors, our families and our communities in many ways.  It has been proven that when we reach out to others and help them, we gain more feelings of contentment and self worth.

2.  Make ourselves accessible.  Proactively cultivate friendships with people who share our passions.  In this day and age, there are so many ways to connect with other like minded people.  We can do it through clubs, associations, Internet forums, the list goes on.

3.  Be a friend first.  Provide massive value without expecting immediate payback.  Be a giver.  Relationships and loyalty take time, but the quickest way to receive value is to give it first.  Someone that is a model of this in the business world is Stephen Pierce.  He is an Internet marketer that believes in giving huge amounts of value.  He knows that if he gives value away for free, he will win your business.  He gives away thousands of dollars worth of knowledge every year and has become a multimillionaire in the process. That is the perfect example of “what goes around, comes around” in a positive way.

While pursuing your dreams and goals, don’t forget to have fun.  Fun breeds an atmosphere of creativity.  Fun helps relieve your stress.  If you make your business fun, you will form relationships with those that work with you.

Don’t forget your sense of humor.  Life is too short to take things so seriously.  Most of all, don’t take yourself too seriously.  Laughter adds years to your life and improves your health.

I have a little treat for you today.  I have a little, less than 10 minutes, video for you just to help you exercise those laugh muscles.  Enjoy!  😀
